About the unveiling ceremony
The Welcome Wall stands in honour of families who have migrated to Australia with registered names engraved in bronze. Currently there are over 29,000 names on the Welcome Wall with representation from over 200 countries.

The next ceremony will be on Sunday 23 September.
Two new bronze panels will be added: No. 80 and 81.
This unveiling will add to the Welcome Wall more than 400 names of migrants and refugees from the following countries:
- Albania, Argentina, Austria, Burma, Canada, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malawi, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Pakistan, Poland, Rhodesia, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Syria The Netherlands, The Philippines, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uruguay, USA, USSR, Vietnam, Yugoslavia and Zimbabwe.
New registrants to the Welcome Wall, their families and friends are invited to this celebration of their life-changing journeys to Australia.
The ceremony provides guests with the opportunity to view the panel for the first time in what is always a moving and festive ceremony. The event sees different family generations gather together to reflect on and celebrate their cultural heritage.
