Your donations help us to be Australia’s leading maritime museum.

The museum is more than a gateway to our maritime past. It’s a snapshot of the present and a bridge to the future. Knowing where we’ve been and what we’ve done shapes where we’ll go and how we’ll get there.

There are many ways to give to the museum. You can make a general donation or support specific projects such as the restoration of MV Krait, the SY Ena Conservation Fund, the National Maritime Collection, Indigenous education and the 1929 model of SS Orontes. You might also like to consider leaving a bequest to the museum in your will.

Donating is easy and all gifts over $2.00 are tax deductible.

Bligh: Hero or Villian?

In winter 2019 the Museum will open a new exhibition, Bligh: Hero or Villain which explores the life of  William Bligh. We invite you and all the Australian National Maritime Museum Members to get involved and invite you to contribute to the Museum’s ambition to develop and present this important exhibition.

A donation of $100 or more will make a very real contribution to this important presentation of a very fascinating individual - extraordinary navigator, sailor and governor. Donors to the Bligh Exhibition will benefit with behind the scenes activities and a deeper understanding in the development of such and exhibition.

You can donate online or via the ways listed below.
