HMB Endeavour will be voyaging and away from the museum from Sept 2019 - Dec 22 2019 and is fully booked for schools from now until departure. It will then circumnavigate Australia, departing 24 Feb 2020 and returning in May 2021. Take a virtual tour of the ship or view our online resources.

 

HMB Endeavour is one of the most historically accurate tall ship replicas in the world. A visit to Endeavour brings the era to life for students studying early European exploration.

Program structure

Students are introduced to the 18th century world of exploration through a guided tour of the vessel. They explore both above and below decks, from bow to stern. They learn about life on board for the crew, marines, officers and gentlemen by viewing different parts of the ship including Cook's cabin.

This tour does involve some bending and climbing up and down companionways (small access ladders between decks). Appropriate flat shoes are required. No high heels allowed.
